Australia has adopted an internationally aligned standard for the procurement of accessible information and communications technology (ICT).

The Australian Accessible ICT Standard AS EN 301 549:2016 is an adoption of European Standard EN 301 549.

The UK Government have developed a free training package that:

  • focuses on a fictional online service using the GOV.UK Design System
  • introduces accessibility issues based on real barriers, such as missing alt text and broken heading hierarchies
  • explains what accessibility is and how to do basic testing.

Accompanying materials include a worksheet and answers, so it can be used by teams as part of their own learning plans.
